Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as Dreamville Records' debut female singer for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. On October 21, 2016, she released Pho, her first EP under the Dreamville Records label. This was when she first gained notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, debuted on the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox uploaded her music online in 2012 after she released her the Five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox release her single Bound and the mixtape she self-released, Five Finger Discount. The 21st of July, 2015 was the day Omen featured her on his album Elephant Eyes with the track Sweat it Out. In the following year, her music began to circulate throughout the Dreamville team, as J. Cole wanted her to collaborate with him on some references for Rihanna. Her announcement to be signed by Dreamville Records was made on the 8th day of December. Backseat is a track that she recorded alongside Cozz in her Revenge of the Dreamers II collaboration album. She released Pho, her debut EP on October 21 the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017 in which she was joined by EarthGang. in 2018, the singer-songwriter appeared on two tracks featuring EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on July 16, 2018. A music video followed by a music video in September. Then, in November, she released two singles, 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. In November 2013, she released No One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby then made appearances as a guest on Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. The singer released the single to celebrate her debut album titled Creed II on 26 February 2019. In February of 2019, a music clip was released to promote the song. It has already received over 3 millions views on YouTube within its first week. She was the supporting act for 6LACK during their From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December of 2018.
