Anushka, since making her Lakme Fashion Week modelling debut has appeared in commercials for brands such as Fiat Palio Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka Sharma, along with her modeling career joined an acting school and started giving auditions for films. Anushka Sharma made her film debut in 2008, playing Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan. In preparation for her screen-test, Anushka Sharma took all day. After that, she signed up to film three times together with Yash Raj Films. She was the wife of a young man of an older man in the film (the same role that Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka Sharma was the lead in the film 'Badmash Company that came out in the year 2010. It was also a star-studded film with Shahid Kapoor and Vir Das. The film received mixed reviews. Anushka Sharma was the lead in the same movie "Band Baaja Baraat. The actress played an Punjabi woman of middle classes who runs her own wedding company. It received positive reviews. Anushka finished her deal of three films in partnership with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
